Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Engineer III - Electric Commodities and Innovation to provide professional engineering support for planning, construction, operation, maintenance, and analysis of PSE facilities. You will coordinate major project segments, review designs, and apply engineering principles to complex tasks with interrelated elements.

The role supports safety, compliance, and emergency response as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree or PE license in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related engineering field.
• Significant experience in planning, design, and scheduling of complex projects (5+ years).
• Strong organization, documentation, prioritization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and modify guidelines for complex problems and processes.
• Prepare complex designs, standards, studies and analyses.
• Provide detailed design reviews of technical documents.
• Develop cost estimates and evaluate project alternatives with minimal supervision.
• Plan budgets and ensure compliance with codes and design, operation, and maintenance requirements.
• Lead or coordinate junior engineers and technicians on projects.
