Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Engineer III in Electric Commodities and Innovation to provide professional engineering services across planning, construction, operation and maintenance of facilities. The role emphasizes complex project coordination, design reviews, cost estimates and schedules, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The position requires a BS in engineering or a PE license with 5+ years of relevant experience, strong communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or PE license (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of planning, design, estimation and scheduling experience as a degreed engineer.
• Strong organization, documentation, prioritization and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and modify guidelines for complex problems and processes.
• Prepare complex designs, standards, studies and analyses.
• Lead detailed design reviews of technical documents and cost evaluations.
• Plan budgets and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with junior engineers, technicians and contractors as needed.
• Support emergency response and restoration efforts when required.
