Job summary

Puget Sound Energy is seeking an Engineer III for Electric Commodities and Innovation in Washington. This role provides professional engineering services across planning, construction, operation, and analysis of PSE facilities and assets, coordinating major project segments to meet time and cost objectives.

Requires a BS in engineering or PE license, with 5+ years of related experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering or PE license (or PE in lieu of degree).
• 5+ years of experience in planning, design, cost estimating and scheduling.
• Strong organization, documentation, prioritization and project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interprets and applies guidelines to complex problems or processes.
• Develops complex designs, standards, studies, and analyses.
• Performs detailed design reviews of technical documents.
• Prepares cost estimates and evaluations for project options with minimal supervision.
• Plans and tracks project budgets with proper documentation.
• Ensures compliance with codes, standards, and operation/maintenance requirements.
• Identifies weaknesses and initiates corrective action.
• Leads or coordinates junior staff and contractors as needed.
• Supports emergency response and restoration efforts.
