Job summary

Pacifico Energy in Cedar Creek is seeking a seasoned Commissioning Manager to lead the owner’s commissioning organization for a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine project moving toward commercial operation.

You will govern the contractor’s commissioning programme, own turnover to COD, review performance test procedures and witness testing, and resolve startup issues with engineering, construction and the OEM, reporting readiness to the Project Director.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in power plant commissioning, including senior leadership.
• Two or more projects taken through to commercial operation.
• 5+ years representing an owner over an EPC contractor under a lump-sum contract.
• Deep familiarity with ASME PTC 46 and PTC 22 performance testing.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent years of field experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the owner’s commissioning organization across all disciplines.
• Govern the contractor’s commissioning programme, procedures and readiness.
• Own the turnover and completion sequence through to commercial operation.
• Review and approve performance test procedures, and witness testing.
• Drive resolution of startup issues with engineering, construction and the OEM.
• Report readiness and completion status to the Project Director.
