The Coteau Properties Company is offering a 15-month co-op (trainee) program designed for students pursuing an associate or technical degree. You will assist in inspecting and maintaining electrical systems at a surface lignite coal mine, perform inspections under MSHA guidance, and operate support equipment in all weather conditions.
This paid internship requires enrollment in an accredited electrical program, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work both independently and in a team,
Employee Type: Co-op (Trainee)This 15-month program is designed for students currently pursuing an associate or technical degree, who have completed a portion of their curriculum, and will be completing their program after the cooperative experience. It is not designed for graduates. Work will be performed at a surface lignite coal mine.
NOTE: This position requires ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to dust, noise, vibration, moving equipment, uneven terrain, elevated work areas, and confined workspaces. Employees must be able to safely operate company vehicles/equipment as required. Employees must be able to work while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to safety footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection.
Hourly wage: $33.20 (hourly)
Starting date: May 2027
Ending date: August 2028
