ELECTRICAL CAD TECHNICIAN

Location: Cary, NC
Job type: Long-Term Contract

Our global EPC Firm client is hiring an Electrical CAD Technician for a long-term contract opportunity in Cary, NC.

The Electrical CAD Technician will assist technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers to create world-class details on a variety of projects. This position will assist in developing computer-aided drafting design solutions. Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with preparing and revising drawings.
2. Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
3. Responsible for adhering to the drafting practices of the selected discipline.
4. Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.
5. Assist with tasks utilizing standard drafting detail programs.
6. Assist in continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.
7. Research solutions to project concerns and recommend solutions to design problems.
8. Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
10. Comply with all policies and standards.

REQUIREMENTS

1. High School Diploma/GED and course work in drafting technology, or specialized CAD certification.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
4. Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills.
6. A self-motivated and eager learner, with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
