Qualifications

• Minimum: algebra and geometry at vocational/college level or a two-year engineering degree.
• Two years CAD drafting experience in last five years OR one year CAD drafting coursework plus one year CAD drafting experience; construction drawing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Create new drawings: lay out views, sections, and details and generate drawings from sketches, photos, markups, site visits, and discussions with engineers.
• Revise existing WE drawings, identify related drawings, ensure accuracy, and apply design specifications.
• Gather information and provide on-site drafting support: assist with layout, visit work sites, make field sketches, act as on-site point of contact.
• Maintain drawing record system: assign codes, update TRACE system, manage print transmittals and distributions.
• Project management: coordinate drafting on project teams, estimate tasks, train others, and provide on-time direction.

Education

Two-year degree in Electrical, Civil, or Architectural engineering
