Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a skilled draftsman to join a multi-disciplined design team. The role focuses on producing detailed drawings using AutoCAD 3D or MicroStation, ensuring accurate representations of proposed installations in relation to existing facilities.

The position emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration with engineers and designers, and the ability to iterate drawings with input from clients and vendors. Hybrid work is required with in-office days.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in drafting or equivalent technical design experience.
• 6+ years of drafting/design experience using AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Ability to multi-task from project to project.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare design drawings based on input from a multi-disciplined team.
• Apply AutoCAD 3D or MicroStation in a hands-on training environment.
• Create drawings to scale showing relations to existing facilities and exact specifications.
• Assist experienced designers on client walkdowns to gather information.
• Explain drawings to vendors and contractors to support design adjustments.
