Job summary

Holtec International is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design and coordinate cable routing and raceway layouts for the SMR-300 plant. You will use 3D design tools to develop layouts for electrical power, I&C, and communications, supporting interdisciplinary coordination across the project lifecycle.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, produce engineering deliverables, and ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline from ABET-accredited college or university.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering design with cable routing or raceway design.
• Experience in a 3D plant design environment and producing engineer deliverables.
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary coordination skills.
• Nuclear project experience or regulated design environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support cable routing design for the SMR-300 plant across electrical power, I&C, and communications systems.
• Develop and maintain cable routing and raceway layouts per project criteria and constructability needs.
• Execute raceway design activities including tray and conduit layout and routing studies.
• Prepare routing inputs such as tray fill, conduit sizing, and support needs.
• Coordinate penetration paths with civil/structural and other disciplines.
• Produce routing deliverables and design notes, reports, and 3D model outputs.
• Perform cable routing work in SP3D or similar tools and support clash resolution.
