Job summary

Multitask Personnel is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager for the electrical sector. You will own the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities to landing profitable projects and handing them to delivery teams on completion.

You’ll build a regional territory, nurture relationships across commercial, retail, office and warehouse sectors, and travel to client sites to win new business with a track record in electrical contracting or M&E.

Qualifications

• Essential: proven experience in business development, sales or account management within electrical contracting or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of commercial electrical installation and maintenance services.
• Demonstrable experience generating and converting new B2B opportunities.
• Confident approaching new clients and developing relationships from initial contact.
• Experience managing a sales pipeline and progressing opportunities through a structured cycle.
• Excellent commercial awareness and ability to assess value and viability of opportunities.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a field-based role.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across commercial electrical contracting.
• Proactively approach prospective clients, main contractors, consultants and facilities managers.
• Research target markets, upcoming projects, frameworks and tender opportunities.
• Generate qualified leads through calls, networking, site visits and meetings.
• Attend client meetings to understand operational, technical and commercial requirements.
• Promote electrical installation, maintenance and energy-efficiency services.
• Build relationships and grow opportunities within existing accounts.
• Manage a structured sales pipeline from initial contact to secured project.
• Collaborate with directors, estimators and project teams on proposals and quotations.
• Support tender submissions with relevant client and project information.
