Electrical Senior BIM Manager - Electrical Construction

Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical BIM/VDC Manager to join a growing Virtual Design & Construction team supporting major electrical construction projects across the United States. You will play a key role in coordinating electrical models, supporting BIM workflows, facilitating clash detection, and working closely with project managers, engineers, field teams, and other trades to ensure coordinated and constructible project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced VDC professional looking to work on high-profile, large-scale projects within a collaborative and technology-driven environment.
This is a hybrid position, requiring three days per week in the office and two days working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate electrical BIM models throughout all phases of project delivery.
- Support multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection processes.
- Produce coordinated installation drawings, shop drawings, and prefabrication deliverables.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure constructability and installation accuracy.
- Attend coordination meetings with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Maintain project models in accordance with company BIM standards and client requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of VDC workflows and best practices.
- Support prefabrication initiatives through coordinated digital construction processes.
- Track coordination issues and ensure timely resolution across project teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience within electrical or MEP construction VDC/BIM environments.
- Strong proficiency with Revit for electrical system modelling.
- Understanding of electrical distribution systems, conduit routing, lighting layouts, and coordination processes.
- Experience participating in multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection.
- Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across project teams.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in office / 2 days remote).
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in Electrical VDC, BIM Coordination, or Electrical Design Coordination.
- Experience with Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revizto, or similar BIM coordination platforms.
- Knowledge of prefabrication workflows and digital construction processes.
- Experience working on commercial, healthcare, data centre, industrial, mission-critical, or large-scale construction projects.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
