Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment is seeking a BIM/VDC Specialist to support large-scale data center and mission-critical electrical projects in Oklahoma, with a hybrid 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote schedule. You will develop coordinated, constructible electrical models and drawings using Revit, Navisworks and related tools.

• Experience with BIM/VDC in electrical construction (data centers preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
• Experience with Navisworks, clash detection and federated model coordination.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, specs and construction docs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Revit-based electrical models for construction and coordination.
• Coordinate electrical systems with structural, mechanical, architectural and other trade models.
• Perform clash detection and participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Utilise Navisworks and related platforms for model coordination.
• Model and coordinate conduit routing, cable tray, equipment locations, underground systems and electrical room layouts.
• Produce and revise installation drawings, shop drawings and as-built documentation.
• Support RFIs, design changes, submittals and model updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work with field teams to resolve constructability issues.
• Ensure model information aligns with installation requirements.

Just Construction are currently representing a rapidly growing national electrical contractor that has built a significant presence within the US mission critical market, looking to make an appointment for a BIM / VDC Specialist to support large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical projects.

They are now looking to add a BIM / VDC Specialist to their team, supporting projects in Oklahoma with a flexible hybrid rotation.

About the Role

• BIM / VDC Specialist position supporting large-scale electrical construction projects
• Oklahoma project support with hybrid rotation
• Ideal arrangement of 2 weeks onsite / 2 weeks remote
• Opportunity to support mission critical and data center projects
• Work closely with project management, field operations, general contractors, trade partners and VDC teams
• Develop coordinated, constructible electrical models and drawings
• Support project delivery from design coordination through installation

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Revit-based electrical models for construction and coordination
• Coordinate electrical systems with structural, mechanical, plumbing, architectural and other trade models
• Perform clash detection and participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings
• Utilise Navisworks and related platforms for model coordination
• Model and coordinate conduit routing, cable tray, equipment locations, underground systems, in-slab work, overhead distribution and electrical room layouts
• Produce and revise installation drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings and as-built documentation
• Support RFIs, design changes, submittals and model updates throughout the project lifecycle
• Work alongside field teams to resolve constructability issues
• Ensure model information aligns with installation requirements
• Support prefabrication and field-layout workflows where required
• Maintain BIM standards, model accuracy and quality control

Qualifications

• Previous BIM / VDC experience within electrical construction
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
• Experience with Navisworks, clash detection and federated model coordination
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, specifications and construction documents
• Experience coordinating electrical systems on large commercial, industrial, mission critical or data center projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with PMs, field leadership, GCs and trade partners

Highly Preferred Skills

• Data center or mission critical project experience is preferred, but large project experience is also considered
• Experience with medium and low voltage electrical distribution
• Exposure to switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, busway, underground duct banks, cable tray and feeder routing
• Experience with Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, eVolve, Stratus, Dynamo, Trimble Point Layout or similar VDC platforms
• Experience supporting prefabrication, fabrication shops, field layout or installation drawings
