Job summary

AEA Investors is seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator to coordinate and manage BIM/VDC processes for construction projects in the Washington DC area. On-site position with no remote work, requiring travel to project sites and collaboration with engineers and management.

The role involves reviewing 2D/3D electrical drawings, coordinating clashes, and producing shop drawings and RFIs. Strong Revit/AutoCAD/Navisworks skills and 2+ years drafting experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires BIM/VDC coordination experience and ability to read and interpret electrical, architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• 2+ years of drafting experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; familiarity with BIM 360 Glue or similar tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and produce 2D and 3D electrical drawings.
• Participate in coordination meetings to resolve clashes.
• Produce shop drawings, cross-sections, and other electrical systems documentation.
• Prepare RFIs and follow-up responses.
• Read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
• Confer with engineers and project management staff.
• Travel to various project sites.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety programs.
