Job summary

Actalent in Boise, ID seeks a BIM / VDC Coordinator (Electrical Construction) to create and maintain electrical BIM models, support clash detection, and develop detailed layouts and shop drawings for multiple projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, field leadership, and design teams to ensure model accuracy, improve constructability, and apply BIM best practices across programs in commercial and industrial settings. Hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman Electrician License.
• Experience in commercial/industrial electrical construction.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn newer BIM/VDC tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical BIM models.
• Support clash detection and coordination with trades.
• Develop electrical layouts, routing plans, and installation drawings.
• Generate shop drawings and prefabrication drawings from models.
• Assist field teams with model navigation and layout information.
• Help standardize BIM/VDC best practices across projects.
• Integrate electrical knowledge into modeling/coordination to improve outcomes.
