Job summary

MYR Group Inc. is seeking a BIM Specialist to support Estimating and Operations by delivering accurate BIM models of electrical systems for project pursuits and installations.

You will develop models in Revit and AutoCAD MEP, coordinate with other trades, and produce shop drawings, takeoffs, and as-built records. The role emphasizes collaboration, precision, and adherence to project schedules in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial electrical background to understand constructability.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with Revit and a detailed understanding of its processes, including setting up and maintaining jobs, files, families, and worksets, preferred.

Responsibilities

• The BIM Specialist performs technical tasks in Revit and AutoCAD software.
• Work with office and project staff to prepare BIM models of new and existing electrical systems within commercial buildings.
• These models are used to provide project coordination with other trades, dimensioned shop drawings for prefabrication and field installation, takeoffs using Revit Schedules, assist with preconstruction efforts, and as-built record drawings.
• Perform modeling primarily utilizing Revit and additionally AutoCAD MEP
• collaboration with NavisWorks Manage for coordination / clash detection
• Provide dimensioned working/shop drawings for field installation and prefabrication, as well as as-built records at project end.
