Job summary

Miller Electric seeks a BIM Modeler to contribute to the VDC process, modeling electrical systems in Revit and coordinating with project teams for digital representation, clash-free modeling, and prefabrication readiness.

You will set up views, manage schedules, assist with submittals, and participate in coordination meetings to ensure accuracy and compliance with Miller Electric standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of electrical experience in Revit and Navisworks.
• Experience in electrical construction or drafting preferred.
• Familiarity with NEC code preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize plans laid out by PLD to build a digital model.
• Use Revit to utilize basic modeling tools.
• Set and manage Revit View Ranges, View Templates, Section Views, and 3D Views.
• Model conduit, bends, spacing, and routing to junction boxes and panels.
• Populate and maintain Revit schedules; export to CSV for prefab and field use.
• Create 2D/3D ISO and fabrication shop drawings.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks (Manage) or BIM 360; document adjustments.
• Participate in virtual construction coordination meetings to review clashes.
• Review work for accuracy and Miller Electric standards.
