Job summary

Helix Electric Inc. seeks an Electrical BIM Detailer to support BIM design of power systems and building infrastructure. The role emphasizes coordination with VDC teams and producing shop drawings for field use.

The candidate will interpret diagrams, model lighting and electrical gear, and may visit sites to ensure installation means align with project standards. Proficiency in Revit/Navisworks is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in Electrical/Power Systems encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of BIM tools and coordination processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Interpret single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Rough book edits and coordination.
• Regular field site visits with possible project-site assignment.
• Collaborate with VDC Coordinators and VDC Manager to understand installation means and methods.
• Provide clear, effective communication to Operations teams.
• Model electrical systems in VDC (lighting, gear, pathways).
• Create shop drawings for field use.
• Work under direction of a VDC Coordinator or VDC Manager.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Adhere to VDC workflow criteria and content standards.
• Leverage VDC software/tools to coordinate across disciplines.
