Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. in Appleton, WI is seeking a BIM Detailer to lead and support Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) coordination across electrical infrastructure projects.

You will develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation in collaboration with Project Managers, engineers, and field teams. This full-time role requires strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, with a focus on constructability,

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a BIM, VDC, or drafting role, preferably in electrical/construction environments.

Responsibilities

Support and participate in BIM coordination and clash detection processes using industry-leading software.
Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings for electrical infrastructure projects.
Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to resolve design conflicts and constructability issues.
Assist with model integration, updates, and version control across project phases.
Utilize BIM tools to support layout and routing of electrical systems, constructability reviews, and field planning.
Coordinate across multiple disciplines and generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
Participate in coordination meetings and communicate technical concepts and model changes effectively.
Support implementation of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
