Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. in Appleton, WI is seeking a BIM Detailer to lead and support Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) coordination across electrical infrastructure projects.

You will develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation in collaboration with Project Managers, engineers, and field teams. This full-time role requires strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam, with a focus on constructability,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a BIM, VDC, or drafting role, preferably in electrical/construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and participate in BIM coordination and clash detection processes using industry-leading software.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to resolve design conflicts and constructability issues.
• Assist with model integration, updates, and version control across project phases.
• Utilize BIM tools to support layout and routing of electrical systems, constructability reviews, and field planning.
• Coordinate across multiple disciplines and generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate technical concepts and model changes effectively.
• Support implementation of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
