Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. in Appleton, WI / Green Bay, WI is seeking a BIM Detailer to support Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) coordination across electrical infrastructure projects.

You will work with Project Managers, engineers, and field teams to develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and construction documentation, ensuring constructability and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a BIM, VDC, or drafting role, preferably within electrical or construction environments.
• Strong proficiency with Revit.
• Navisworks (coordination and clash detection).
• Bluebeam.
• Inventor (preferred).
• Experience with 3D models, construction drawings, and coordination workflows.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Team-oriented, project-driven environment.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support and participate in BIM coordination and clash detection processes using industry-leading software.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to resolve design conflicts and constructability issues.
• Assist with model integration, updates, and version control across project phases.
• Utilize BIM tools to support layout and routing of electrical systems, constructability reviews, and field planning.
• Generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate model changes clearly.
• Support implementation of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
