Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a BIM Detailer to lead and support the BIM and VDC coordination across electrical infrastructure projects.

You will work with Project Managers, engineers, and field teams to develop, coordinate, and maintain 3D models, drawings, and documentation, ensuring constructability and alignment with design and field execution. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in BIM/VDC or drafting, strong Revit/Navisworks/Bluebeam/Inventor skills, and proven collaboration abilities within

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, or drafting role.
• Strong proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Inventor.
• Experience with 3D models, construction drawings, and coordination workflows.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and participate in BIM coordination and clash detection processes using industry‑leading software.
• Develop and maintain 3D models and construction drawings for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to resolve design conflicts and constructability issues.
• Assist with model integration, updates, and version control across project phases.
• Utilize BIM tools to support layout and routing of electrical systems, constructability reviews and field planning, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Generate and review 2D drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Participate in coordination meetings and communicate technical concepts and model changes.
• Support implementation of BIM standards, workflows, and best practices.
