Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to support operations in the Aurora, CO area. The role covers installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and adjustment of pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, and PLC control systems across pipeline and plant facilities.

The position requires preventative maintenance, coordination with contractors, safety compliance, and detailed documentation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with 1-3 years of instrumentation, automation, electrical controls experience.
Working knowledge of National Electric Codes.
Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints/diagrams.
Knowledge of electronic test instruments and equipment.
Valid driver’s license; may require CDL.
Commitment to safety and following procedures.
Basic computer skills and math.

Responsibilities

Installs, inspects, maintains, operates, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and adjusts PLC control systems.
Perform preventative maintenance checks on pumps, compressors, drivers and auxiliary equipment.
Performs I&M checks on all control systems.
Maintain switch gear and power distribution.
Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities.
