A leading company in the manufacturing industry is seeking an Electrical Automation Engineer for SCADA integration in Raleigh, North Carolina. This mid-senior level contract position involves project support in developing and maintaining HMI systems and specifications, along with customer and internal coordination. Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering and several years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Job Title: Electrical Automation Engineer – SCADA Integration

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Pay Rate: $90.00/HR on W2

Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of extension)

Job Description

• Provide project engineering support in the HVDC Control & Protection department for the SCADA system.
• Create and maintain specifications and manuals.
• Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers regarding concepts, features, functions, and graphical representations.
• Develop and maintain HMI software projects and signal databases, including operator functions, subsystem representations, and operational modes/parameters.
• Engineer the monitoring system.
• Integrate and commission the HMI and SCADA Communication Gateway in test environments.
• Support testing procedures with suppliers and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• Several years of experience with HMI systems, remote control interfaces, protocol converters, and data concentrators.
• Experience in project execution, customer communication, and teamwork in complex environments.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC61850, IEC101, IEC104, OPC-UA, DNP3, etc.
• Experience in data processing.
• Basic programming skills in C, C++, Java, or C#, preferably object-oriented.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for system delivery.
