Our client, a leading process flow control company, is seeking a System Engineer – Industrial Controls to join their team. As a System Engineer, you will support various project teams within the engineering department. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a self-motivated attitude, and excellent problem-solving abilities.

Location:

Onsite, Raleigh, NC and Charlotte, NC

Pay Range:

$65,000 - $85,000

Responsibilities:

1. Provide Industrial/Commercial Control Systems Engineering services, focusing on SCADA Systems, PLC Programming, and Industrial Networking.
2. Support Instrument Technicians with technical issues related to DCS & SCADA systems and assist with testing.
3. Manage project backlogs and maintain strong relationships with existing contract customers.
4. Report job activities and maintain detailed logs about service calls, parts, and orders.
5. Identify upgrade opportunities at customer facilities and travel to job sites using a company vehicle.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (BSEE / BSEET / ASEE), with a Master’s degree preferred.
2. 1-3+ years of experience programming PLCs (e.g., Allen Bradley, Automation Direct, MOSCAD).
3. 1-3+ years of experience with computer-based HMI software (e.g., Wonderware, VTSCADA, Lookout).
4. Strong computer proficiency and understanding of industrial and process controls.
5. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs and work in various environments.
