Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SCADA Systems Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on delivering HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) control and protection solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering and commissioning HMI and SCADA gateway systems, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting projects through to successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead engineering efforts in the HVDC Control & Protection department for SCADA system implementation.
Create and maintain engineering specifications, manuals, and related documentation.
Interface with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to clarify requirements and system features.
Develop and maintain HMI software projects and signal databases, including operator functions, subsystem representations, and operational parameters.
Engineer and configure monitoring systems for HVDC control infrastructure.
Support system integration and commissioning of HMI and SCADA communication gateways in test environments.
Conduct and support system testing with suppliers and customers.
Provide onsite technical support during commissioning and system delivery.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Several years of experience engineering HMI systems and remote control interfaces, including protocol converters and data concentrators.
Proven experience in project execution, customer interaction, and working in cross-functional teams.
Strong knowledge of communication protocols including IEC61850, IEC101, IEC104, OPC-UA, and DNP3.
Experience in data processing and integration.
Basic programming knowledge (C, C++, Java, C#), with preference for object-oriented programming.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer delivery and commissioning.
