Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Production Technician for the 1st shift in Hayward, CA. The role involves assembling and testing electrical control equipment, wiring sub-assemblies, and ensuring quality per drawings and specifications.

Core hours are 6AM to 2:30PM. Eligible for a variable incentive program; benefits include health and retirement plans, with potential for cross-training and career progression within the ES AMER ARS division.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of assembly experience with hand/power tools or a one-year Technical School diploma.
• No relocation benefits; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location.
• Eaton does not offer immigration sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Assemble panelboards and switchboards per drawings using hand/power tools.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and codes compliance.
• Wire using wire strippers and pliers for panelboard/switchboard assemblies.
• Maintain progress and communicate shortages and issues.
• Prepare finished products for shipment.
• Suggest Lean improvements and uphold 5S standards.
• Cross-train across functions as needed.
