Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in Amityville, NY is seeking an Electrical Assembly B to perform a range of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including wiring, hand soldering and cable harnessing per blueprints.

The role supports lean manufacturing, requires attention to calibration, and may require a US security clearance. The position operates on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off, first shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary with 0–2 years related experience.
• Proficient in wiring, hand soldering and cable harnessing per blueprints.
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic devices and harnesses using drawings or schematics.
• Troubleshoot as required.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation.
• Present evidence to QA that tasks meet specifications.
• Observe FOD, ESD and material handling controls.
• Ensure instruments are within calibration.
• Fabricate shop aids and fixtures.
• Set up and operate shop equipment.
• Mix and apply sealants and adhesives; maintain shelf-life.
• Promote lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
