Job summary

Serac Inc. in Carol Stream, IL is seeking an Electrical Assembly Supervisor to lead a team on-site, building and wiring control panels and full machines.

You will organize the electrical assembly schedule, ensure on-time delivery, and uphold quality across the assembly areas. You will troubleshoot electrical issues, collaborate with the controls engineer, and drive Lean, 5S, and Kaizen improvements while hiring and coaching your team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of hands-on electrical control panel building.
• Ability to read assembly drawings, electrical schematics, BOMs, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams.
• HS diploma or GED required; associate degree in electro-mechanical technology preferred.
• Comfortable with hand and power tools, fabrication equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Valid driver's license.
• Allen-Bradley or other electrical controls experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5+ electro-mechanical assemblers building and wiring control panels, cabinets, and full machines.
• Build the electrical assembly schedule around machine line balance and keep production tracking up to date.
• Own quality, completeness, and on-time delivery for your assembly areas.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day electrical issues and work with our controls engineer on red-lines.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
• Hire, train, coach, and review your team.
