Job summary

ESPEC North America, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Assembler for our Colorado team to build the electrical portion of environmental test chambers, following engineering documents and wiring diagrams.

The role requires reading schematics, assembling sub-panels and wiring, performing wire routing, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00AM - 5:30PM with Friday overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical portions of chamber models according to diagrams and work instructions
• Follow engineering documents, wiring diagrams, schematics and instructions with minimal assistance
• Build sub-assemblies (e-stop, cable, sub-panel, junction box)
• Prepare electrical panels (wire prep, DIN rail, components, labeling) and install parts onto chambers
• Route wires and connect pneumatics, power panels, and sub-assemblies
• Pull parts from warehouse to fulfill work orders
• Record and address non-conformances via CPRs
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and comply with safety procedures

Summary

Performs the assembly of electrical components on environmental test chambers prior to transitioning the chamber through final assembly and test.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Builds the electrical portion of all chamber models utilizing basic skills and the basic understanding of the process flow.
• Follows company engineering documents, wiring diagrams, schematics, and written work instructions with minimal assistance.
• Builds sub-assemblies such as, e-stop panel assemblies, cable assemblies, sub-panel assemblies, and junction box assemblies.
• Performs all aspects of electrical panel preparation, from wire preparation and DIN rail cutting to component mounting (fuses, relays, controls, circuit breakers) and labeling.
• Installs all electrical parts and sub-assemblies onto the chamber, ensuring accurate and complete assembly.
• Perform all wire routing, electrical connections of pneumatics assemblies, power panel assemblies, e-stop panel assemblies, sub-panel assemblies, and junction box assemblies.
• Pulls parts from the warehouse to fulfill work orders.
• Initiates Corrective and Preventive Action Requests (CPRs) when non-conformances are identified during the assembly process.
• Uses hand tools such as wire preparation tools, wire crimpers, drills, wrenches, saws, grinders, screwdrivers and knives.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Regular, physical attendance is required.
• Works under direct supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide required.
• Previous experience using hand tools required.
• Basic computer skills preferred but not required.
• Electrical assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
