Job summary

ESPEC North America, Inc. in Hudsonville, Michigan is seeking an Assembler for their Custom Department. This role offers a clean work environment with exciting growth opportunities and an awesome benefits package.

The Assembler will assist in the final assembly of environmental test chambers, working from Monday to Thursday with some Friday overtime. Ideal candidates should have basic mechanical skills and experience using hand tools.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Computer skills, including use of a tablet, are required.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly of environmental test chambers using hand tools.
• Maintain a clean work area and equipment.
• Follow training for brazing duties as necessary.

Working Schedule

6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday with some Friday OT required.

Summary

Assists the department to perform final assembly of environmental test chambers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily use of hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, and knives.
• Performs basic pipe insulation.
• May perform brazing duties, only after on-site training has been provided.
• Bends and runs conduit, cuts wire.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Regular physical attendance is required.
• Understands and abides by the Guiding Principles.
• Performs other routine duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Skills and Experience

• Computer skills, including use of tablet, required.

• Ability to read a tape measure required.
• Previous experience working with hand tools preferred.
• 1 year of experience with industrial manufacturing preferred.
