Job summary

ESPEC North America, Inc. is seeking a Utility Worker to join our Test Department. The role offers a 4-day work week with some Friday overtime in a clean environment, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Work hours are 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday-Thursday with some Friday OT required. The position pays $20.42–$21.91 per hour and requires a high school diploma and basic measurement skills to support chamber testing and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Ability to read schematics preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports testing procedures for environmental chambers.
• Cleans and prepares chambers for shipment with designated solutions.
• Connects and disconnects water and electrical utilities.
• Safely loads and unloads environmental chambers.
• Uses hand tools daily (screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, tape measures).
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and performs weekly cleaning.
• Performs monthly routine maintenance of the test area.
• Provides support to technicians as needed.
• Regular attendance is required.

Requirements

Summary

Supports the department by providing assistance with testing procedures for environmental chambers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cleans and prepares chambers for shipment using designated cleaning solutions (alcohol, 6% vinegar, RO water, wash thinner).
• Connects and disconnects water and electrical utilities to environmental chambers.
• Safely loads and unloads chambers.
• Daily use of hand tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and tape measures, to perform assigned tasks.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, including machines, tools, and equipment, through weekly cleaning procedures.
• Conducts monthly routine maintenance of the test area.
• Provides support to technicians as needed.
• Performs other routine duties as assigned.
• Regular physical attendance is required.

Education
