Job summary

Shuttleworth, based in Huntington, IN, seeks an Electrical Assembler to perform wiring and assembly of conveyor systems for the material handling industry. The role requires training/mentoring less experienced staff and working under minimal supervision.

You’ll read electrical prints, assemble panels, and support testing cycles with engineering. Travel up to 25% is expected as projects advance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or 2–3 years of related maintenance or automation experience required.
• Strong understanding of electrical practices and principles.
• Knowledge of UL/CE standards and NEMA ratings.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• OSHA 10-hour card or willing to obtain within a year.
• Ability to provide and maintain required hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform wiring on panels, devices, and conveyor systems.
• Read, understand, and interpret electrical, assembly, and pneumatic prints.
• Assist project lead assemblers through the build process through Quality Checkout, FAT, and final signoff.
• Assist Electrical Engineering during testing and make adjustments for customer acceptance testing.
• Wire electrical panels independently without supervision.
• Monitor schedule, budget, and quality; suggest improvements to leadership.
• Support the Quality Checkout Process and adhere to standards.
• Identify issues and recommend corrective actions and design improvements.
• Lead, train, and mentor employees and contractors during onboarding.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Travel 20–25% as needed for installations and service calls.
