Job summary

Shuttleworth based in Huntington, IN, seeks a field service technician to perform onsite installations, startup, troubleshooting, repair, and training across customer sites with approximately 85% travel. You will dismantle machines, inspect parts, replace worn components, realign systems, and test operation after service.

Applicants should read blueprints and ladder logic, troubleshoot electrical wiring, and make limited software changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Must travel ~85% of the time and have a valid driver's license and passport or be eligible for passport.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and electrical schematics and ladder logic.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical wiring and ladder logic programs.
• Ability to perform basic math operations across units of measure.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Ability to solve problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Dismantles machines and equipment to access problem areas.
• Inspects and measures parts to detect wear or misalignment.
• Removes and replaces worn or defective parts.
• Realigns and adjusts components.
• Start-up and debug of equipment post-installation or repair.
• Installs and troubleshoots electrical components.
• Understand PLCs/ladder logic; perform limited software changes.
• Provide training to customers on maintenance and operation of equipment.
