The role operates in a production facility with four 10‑hour shifts (6:00 a.m.

Job Title: Electrical Assembler
Job Description

The Electrical Assembler builds, wires, and tests electrical systems within chiller units in accordance with engineering specifications, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions. This role ensures the safe and precise installation and integration of components such as control panels, motors, sensors, and high‑voltage wiring. The position is critical to maintaining product quality, meeting safety standards, supporting efficient production, and enabling the reliable performance of advanced refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complete electrical wiring of chiller units from scratch, including routing, cutting, stripping, and terminating wires.

  • Install and connect electrical components such as contactors, relays, sensors, motors, and control panels within chiller units.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to assemble and wire systems accurately.

  • Build, wire, and test electrical systems to ensure they meet engineering specifications and operational requirements.

  • Handle and install high‑voltage wiring and large‑gauge cables, including 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG DLO cable, in a safe and controlled manner.

  • Verify proper operation of electrical systems and components, identifying and addressing issues during assembly and testing.

  • Ensure all work complies with safety requirements, quality standards, and production timelines.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support efficient production flow and continuous improvement of assembly processes.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while handling tools, materials, and equipment.

Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 4+ years of electrical assembly experience.

  • Proficient understanding of electrical fundamentals and principles.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Hands‑on experience performing complete electrical wiring of equipment or units from scratch.

  • Experience installing and connecting components such as contactors, relays, sensors, motors, and control panels.

  • Prior experience handling 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG DLO cable or similar large‑gauge conductors.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly as required by the role.

  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and engineering specifications with high attention to detail.

  • Commitment to working safely around electrical systems and in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • HVAC industry experience is preferred and considered an asset.

  • Experience working on chiller units or refrigeration equipment is beneficial.

  • Comfort working with high‑voltage wiring and industrial electrical components.

  • Strong problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot issues during assembly and testing.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a family‑oriented team and support shared production goals.

  • Willingness to travel to Canada for training, with potential for fast‑tracking into lead or supervisory roles.

  • Reliability and strong work ethic to support job stability and long‑term growth.

Work Environment

The role is based in a production facility focused on assembling and testing advanced chiller and refrigeration equipment. You work a consistent schedule of four 10‑hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., supporting a predictable workweek with three days off. The environment involves hands‑on electrical assembly, frequent use of tools and equipment, and handling of high‑voltage wiring and large‑gauge cables. You should be prepared for physical work, including lifting up to 75 pounds and moving around the production floor. Work uniforms are provided, and a yearly safety boot allowance supports appropriate protective footwear, contributing to a safe and professional setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
