Aerotek in Irvine, CA is seeking a Soldering Technician to perform hand soldering and assembly of PCBs, PCBA units, and related electronic assemblies. The role emphasizes repair, refurbishment, and documentation of repair activities and RMAs in a clean, safety‑conscious environment.
You will read schematics, follow IPC‑610 standards, and collaborate with engineers and production staff to meet project timelines.
This role focuses on inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing returned electronic products, with a strong emphasis on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and system-level assemblies. You will perform precise hand soldering and electronic assembly work, ensure all repairs meet established quality standards, and document repair activities and RMA statuses accurately in the database, including preparing detailed repair reports for each case.
You will join a smaller, close-knit manufacturing team where collaboration and quality craftsmanship are highly valued. The environment supports focused, detail-oriented work with clean facilities and well-defined processes, enabling you to develop and refine your technical skills in electronics assembly and repair. This role is based in a very clean manufacturing facility with a team of approximately 25 employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere. You will work a regular Monday through Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with occasional weekend shifts as needed. The work involves hands-on use of soldering equipment, hand tools, test equipment, and magnification devices for small electronic components, all within an environment that emphasizes ESD controls, safety procedures, and the use of appropriate PPE.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
