Job summary

Base Power is seeking an EE Lead to own the electrical architecture of our energy storage systems—enclosures, inverters, BMS, and interconnect devices—from concept through high‑volume manufacturing and field deployment. This foundational leadership role defines how we build reliable, cost‑efficient batteries and inverters at scale.

You will lead a team of electrical engineers, set design rigor, and collaborate across firmware, mechanical, test, and manufacturing to move products from prototype

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electrical system design, with energy storage or high‑power applications.
• Experience taking complex electrical products from architecture to production at scale.
• Strong PCB design and hands‑on bring‑up skills; soldering and debugging.
• Ability to run transient thermal simulations in MATLAB or Python.
• Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, and scripting for test automation.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet and control theory basics.
• Experience with automotive or industrial certification processes (UL/IEC/CSA).

Responsibilities

• Set electrical architecture and technical direction for Base's full product line, including inverters, BMS, and interconnect devices.
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of electrical engineers with high design rigor.
• Drive LV embedded systems and power converter design and validation across the portfolio.
• Collaborate firmware, mechanical, test, reliability, and manufacturing teams to move products to production.
• Own production end of line testers.
• Debug and resolve complex system‑level electrical issues across power, control, and communication domains.
• Champion continuous product improvement using field data and manufacturing feedback.
