Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration is hiring an entry-level apprentice to support journeyman electricians on-site in North Dakota. You will assist with wiring installation, conduit work, and materials handling in a safety-conscious environment.

We value reliability, willingness to learn, and teamwork; a valid driver’s license and English-speaking ability are important. The role may involve long hours and extended days depending on workload.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Desire to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading.
• Good technical skills and willingness to follow instructions.
• Strong analytical ability and willingness to learn from criticism.
• Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist a journeyman electrician and follow instructions.
• Prepare and clean work areas.
• Carry and deliver materials.
• Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment.
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools for conduit and cable tray installation.
• Follow safety codes and building regulations.
• Be reliable and on time.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Work Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading skills
• Good technical skills and a willingness to follow instruction
• Strong analytical ability and willingness to accept and learn from criticism
• Hold valid driver’s license
• Have good English-speaking skills
• Prefer someone with 3-4 years of apprentice experience
• Team oriented and possess a strong commitment to SAFETY and Quality

Physical Requirements

• Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights will all be required
• Good work ethic, team player attitude, and problem-solving ability
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Own personal hand tools with Power tools provided
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures, or in a shop environment

Schedule:

Minimum of 50 hours a week. 10 hours a day. But workload may require us to work 12 hours a day up to 7 days a week
