Job summary

Design Solutions and Integration is seeking an entry-level journeyman/apprentice electrician to support a team performing electrical installations and maintenance for energy sector partners. You will assist a journeyman, prepare work areas, and handle materials while following safety codes and blueprints.

A strong commitment to safety and punctuality is required. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a willingness to learn electrical schematics, and good English-speaking skills.

• Eagerness to learn electrical schematics and blueprint reading skills.
• Good technical skills and willingness to follow instruction.
• Strong analytical ability and willingness to accept and learn from criticism.
• Hold valid driver's license.
• Have good English-speaking skills.
• Prefer someone with 3-4 years of apprentice experience.
• Team oriented and possess a strong commitment to SAFETY and Quality.

Responsibilities

$25 - $40 an hour

Essential Functions

• Assist a journeyman electrician and follow instructions
• Prepare and clean work areas
• Carry and deliver materials
• Install, repair, and maintain various electrical wiring systems and equipment
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools to perform conduit and cable tray installation
• Follow safety codes and building regulations
• Be reliable and on time
• Other Duties as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate

Physical Requirements

• Bending, squatting, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, working at elevated heights will all be required
• Good work ethic, team player attitude, and problem-solving ability
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
• Own personal hand tools with Power tools provided
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to work outside in extreme temperatures, or in a shop environment

Schedule

Minimum of 50 hours a week. 10 hours a day. But workload may require us to work 12 hours a day up to 7 days a week
