Job summary

Pecos, Texas-based Electrical Apprentice (Year 1 & Year 3) with PCL Construction is under licensed electricians to gain hands-on experience. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining wiring, fixtures, and equipment while learning to read electrical drawings and codes.

Position offers 6/10 schedule (Mon–Sat, 10 hours/day) with per diem for eligible travelers; sponsorship into an apprenticeship program is provided by PCL.

Qualifications

• Understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols.
• Good communication skills for collaboration and learning.
• Ability to work outdoors in construction sites and rugged terrain.

Responsibilities

• Help install and repair wiring systems, electrical fixtures, and equipment.
• Install conduits including bending, cutting and threading up to 4-inch diameter rigid steel.
• Replace conduit, wiring, and circuit breakers as needed.
• Install conductors, terminating (SES, panel boards, motor controls, PLCs, instruments, and junction boxes).
• Learn to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings, blueprints, and electrical codes.
• Have good basic understanding of NFPA70E and the NEC.

Job Overview

An Electrical Apprentice (Year 1 & Year 3) work under the supervision of licensed electricians to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in the field. Is responsible for performing a variety of electrical tasks including installation, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Positions are available in Pecos, Texas

Compensation

$26 - $34 / hour for Electrical Apprentices. Final pay is based on experience and skill level.

Schedule

Monday–Saturday: 10 hours per day (6/10 schedule).

Per Diem: For eligible travelers

a per diem of $200 per day worked is available.

Job Functions

• Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including rugged terrain and construction sites. Capable of performing tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
