Electrical and Instrumentation Technician 2nd Class

Job Overview

WIN Waste Innovations seeks a skilled, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Electrical and Instrumentation Technician. The primary role involves installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and distributed control equipment across the facility, ensuring safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment for safe and efficient operation.
  • Perform electrical preventive, repair, and calibration maintenance following regulations and company policies.
  • Manage work-orders, requisitions, and documentations accurately.
  • Respond to emergency repairs during off-hours.
  • Travel to other facilities for technical support as needed.
  • Proactively seek improvements with minimal supervision.
  • Complete required training programs timely.
  • Use measuring tools for maintenance tasks.
  • Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
  • Work overtime and rotating shifts as required.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment independently.
  • Operate mobile equipment like forklifts and manlifts.
  • Maintain positive work relationships with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of experience in industrial or power industry electrical and instrumentation maintenance, or 2 years as a 3rd class E&I Technician with relevant training.
  • Licenses required per regulatory standards, including electrician licenses if applicable.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work involves noise, physical activities like climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, operating equipment, and working in confined spaces. Accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.

PPE Requirements

Use of PPE such as respirators, hardhats, safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and harnesses is mandatory in certain areas.
