Job description

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for a local client in Trainer, PA. Candidates with a background as an Electrician in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

1. Layout, dismantle, install, maintain, repair, and test electrical devices, fixtures, control equipment, meters, instruments, and wiring throughout the facility.
2. Work with PLC logic/programs.
3. Make new installations of electrical/electronic equipment throughout the plant.
4. Adjust, calibrate, troubleshoot, analyze, and repair electrical/electronic equipment as required.
5. Adjust and repair frequency drive motor controllers as well as DC motors.

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of AC and DC motor controls is essential.
2. Ability to troubleshoot all phases of electrical circuitry from building wiring to production operating equipment, with or without schematics.
3. Minimum of 3 years of plant industrial experience.
4. HS/GED required.

Schedule - (follows rotating shift schedule):

1. 3 weeks - 7am to 3pm
2. 2 weeks - 11am to 7pm
3. 1 week - 3pm to 11pm
4. Must work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
