Job Summary

The technician installs, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and trains staff on electrical/mechanical systems of industrial machinery, focusing on minimizing downtime and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Review equipment reliability and identify improvements.
• Enforce safety procedures, including lockout/tag out and confined space protocols.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues across multiple lines.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Conduct daily equipment audits.
• Support maintenance activities, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with equipment upgrades and projects.
• Provide technical support and training to operational teams.
• Rebuild and repair electrical/mechanical components.
• Utilize CMMS for work orders and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience troubleshooting PLCs, especially Siemens PLCs.
• AA degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of mechanics, tools, drives.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts and on-call as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, Control Logix, Ethernet, and ladder logic.
• 6-10 years of related experience, preferably in high-speed manufacturing.
