Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• 10 years of related experience in electric power distribution, transmission or generation.
• 4 years of experience as System Operator preferred.
• 3 years of experience as trainer in a formalized program preferred.
• One year of experience as a trainer creating and/or administering simulator-based training preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of EMS/SCADA/OMS and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation emphasizing the use of simulation technology for System Operations Training.
• Conducts training activities aligned with the Systematic Approach to Training and adult learning principles.
• Plans and presents performance-based training using simulation in CT, MA, NH.
• Coordinates with teams to acquire and configure simulation technology for training.
• Evaluates regulatory changes and updates training materials accordingly.
• Represents Training at meetings and conferences.
• Assists operations in coordinating response to system emergencies.
