Job summary

AEP is seeking a Work Scheduling Coordinator Associate to help plan and coordinate engineered and non-engineered jobs for the distribution line and service workforce. You will optimize resources and use work management systems to ensure timely completion.

Responsibilities include characterizing customer work requests, advising on design requirements, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and negotiating schedules to meet deadlines. A strong emphasis on analytics and organization is required.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in engineering technology or high school diploma with relevant experience.
Progression through work scheduling assistant job family or minimum 2 years experience in distribution operations.

Responsibilities

Characterize new customer work requests with load, energy needs and prerequisites.
Provide technical guidance on service design, codes and company policies.
Coordinate with customers, supervisors, builders, inspectors, foresters and meter services to meet prerequisites.
Coordinate with engineers and staff to meet customer deadlines.
Negotiate schedules with supervisors and customers due to workload or weather.
Assist in reviewing crew productivity and planning outages.
