Job summary

Hooper Corporation is seeking a seasoned Safety Leader to drive the Electric Power Division's safety vision across projects and fleet operations. You will lead incident-prevention programs, integrate energy-based safety into planning, and champion SIF prevention while collaborating with project teams and safety managers.

The role focuses on strong safety culture, field presence, and continuous improvement across multiple sites, with office-based duties and site travel in the Midwest region.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in utility safety with leadership in safety programs.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
• Professional safety certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CHST, OHST).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement incident-prevention strategies and safety systems.
• Lead Energy-Based Safety program integration into work planning and execution.
• Champion SIF prevention and task hazard analysis (inspections/controls).
• Partner with Safety Managers and project teams to apply safety policies.
• Conduct job-site observations, audits, and investigations for compliance.
• Lead or support incident investigations and workers' compensation interactions.
• Monitor KPIs for safety performance and drive continuous improvement.
