Job summary

Hooper is seeking a senior safety leader to advance the Electric Power Division's safety vision and compliance across projects and fleets. You will guide incident investigations, risk controls, and energy-based safety practices while coordinating with managers and field teams.

The role emphasizes program development, audits, and continuous improvement, with office-based duties and routine site visits for safety leadership and training.

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in utility safety with leadership of safety programs.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline; 4-year equivalent considered.
• Certifications: CSP/CHST/OHST preferred.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
• Behavioral Skills: Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership and program development across the Electric Power Division.
• Collaborate with Safety Managers, project teams, and leadership to apply safety policies.
• Conduct and support site observations, audits, and investigations for compliance.
• Lead or support incident investigations using energy-based causal analysis.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous safety improvements.
• Perform other duties to support division safety and operations.
