Hooper Corporation in Wisconsin seeks an entry-level accounting assistant to support the Electric Power Division with payroll timekeeping, job cost analysis, invoicing, and general accounting duties. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.

You will help track costs, prepare reports, and liaise with customers, vendors, and project managers.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of accounting experience preferred.
• Two-year degree in Accounting or related field.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment and prepare reports.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication, with teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly divisional payroll time and equipment reviews.
• Assist with underground utility locates for job sites.
• Perform weekly/monthly invoicing, investigate exceptions, and reconcile billable hours.
• Provide data for monthly WIP reports and ensure accruals are accurate.
• Track and report project financial performance including hours, costs, revenue and margins.
• Liaise between customers, vendors, and project management staff; support data analysis with AI tools.
