Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Technician in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The position involves performing service and installation on electric power generation systems and components, including troubleshooting, repairs, and start-up of generators, transfer switches, UPS, and switchgear systems. Flexibility for emergency calls outside normal hours and in-depth product knowledge are essential.
Minimum qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include a technical degree or military equipment experience.
Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver objects up to 70 pounds, and perform physical activities such as reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions is required.
