Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring an Electric Power Generation (EPG) Technician in Manassas, Virginia. This role involves performing service and installation on electric power generation systems and components, including troubleshooting, repairs, and start-up of generators, transfer switches, UPS, and switchgear systems. Flexibility to work hours beyond the normal schedule for emergency calls is required, along with in-depth product knowledge and experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates with less than three years of experience are eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments at 90 and 180 days of employment. A technical degree or military equipment experience is a plus.
Key Requirements:
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 70 pounds, and perform tasks involving reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing, often outdoors in various weather conditions.
