Electric Power Generation (EPG) Technician

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000 for experienced candidates. Candidates with less than 3 years of relevant experience are eligible for a $2,000 bonus. Bonuses are paid in two installments at 90 and 180 days of employment.

Carter Machinery Company, serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington D.C., is hiring for the role of Electric Power Generation (EPG) Technician in Fredericksburg, Virginia. This position involves service and installation on electric power generation systems and components, including troubleshooting, repairs, and start-up of generators, transfer switches, UPS, and switchgear systems.

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least three years of relevant Electrical Power Generation (EPG)/electronics field experience

Preferred qualifications include a technical degree or military equipment experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting and repairing engine and electrical systems
• Performing start-up procedures for generators and associated systems
