Job summary

Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking an Apprentice in Training for a future opening in New Orleans, LA. The program covers multiple years of on-the-job learning under close supervision, with tasks ranging from pole work and structure erection to installation of hardware and basic switching.

Candidates must complete an accredited Lineworker training program or have demonstrated linework experience, and be willing to obtain a Class A CDL. Safety and teamwork are essential in this on-site program.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program OR prior demonstrated linework experience is required.
• Must be willing to perform less difficult tasks under supervision and assist others on high/low voltage line work.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a valid Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction and maintenance of electric transmission and distribution conductors, structures, and equipment.
• Perform basic line work tasks under supervision.
• Assist in tree trimming, inspection, and maintenance activities.
• Prepare reports and operate company vehicles.
